Leo recently moved to Utah, and while he is greatly missed by his friends and plants, this is somehow remedied (at least as the friends are concerned)by the fact that he is keeping us up to date with his endeavours in our former colonies by means of a “blog”: treeweasel.wordpress.com

Doing the k/g/sk-list at least partially means finding a word that has “k/g/sk + soft vowel” and try to find out if there are more words like that. (more…)

It has been said that not all the words on the list are acceptable, as they are not in the same context, i.e., at the beginning of words. Conceivably, they may also not all be subject to the same rule, as “g + soft vowel” does not, strictly speaking, need to follow the same rule as “k + soft vowel”. It has also been called “cheating” to include words that only include the syllables in question in certain forms. (more…)
