I am now packing things for the US (or for storage while I am away), and found a true gem! When I was in gymnasium (secondary school?), we found this christmas poem in the local newspaper. It is a truly atrocious christmas poem, and we loved it. For many years, while we had a mailing list of our own, someone sent this out to everyone every christmas. I now found that I actually cut it out of the newspaper and have been svaing it for the last thirteen years or so. Here it is: (more…)

I.

The night is cool, the night is calm,
the streets bereft of life.
In every house, in every home
Sleep now claims its tithe.

But one narrow window
bleeds with light;
there two-score candles
oppose the night.
It is the window
of a tired young girl,
who is much too frightened
to let dreams unfurl.

Stenarna is the first story I present here. I’m sorry to say that it is only available in Swedish, so unless you know that, or you happen to enjoy that sort of thing, it won’t be worth downloading. Maybe I’ll translate it someday. This is the first short story I’ve finished in many years. It is an excursion into the realm of horror fiction, and it should be obvious to any reader familiar with this genre that the story is a Lovecraft tribute. (more…)
